All the .41 Mag shrouds I've seen (which is not many) don't have the the period in front of the .41 ie, 41 MAGNUM CTG
I mark the shrouds with a stamp-getting ready to order that stamp-what do you guys want? Period or no period?
If you're wondering, yes, .41 Mag barrels and shrouds are going to be happening!

The .41 barrel tubes are going to be made to SAAMI specs which call for a 1:18.75 twist. If you guys want a faster twist rate, let me know, I was thinking of offering a 1:14 I know several have asked me for such-however, I'd need to make sure there is enough interest for the faster twist tubes to make it happen.

At long last! Stainless too? Those specs work for me. My Monson 741 does not have a period.

No dot on the Monson shrouds; 41 MAGNUM CTG
I would like to have a faster twist for heavy for caliber boolits and the 7441 Franken-volver that is in the works...
What is the estimated availability date for the the 18.75 tubes? Deer season looms....
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

I would love to get fast twist 41 barrels from 4"-10"
Also if you did a run of 41 fast twist barrel assemblies 4"-10" with the RH config and a railed lighter weight shroud would be awesome .
I would have to get a huge loan to get one of each.

I bought a 741 with 8" 6" and 4" VH shrouds and the gentleman who sold me this pac said that he thought he bought the 4" VH shroud from you Eric at EWK, this particular 4" VH shroud has no marking at all no stamp. Did you used to make them that way?? Are you only making VH shrouds? If so I'll take a 2"
I have been checking out the EWK web site for any mention of the 41 mag shrouds and have not seen anything. Please keep us posted.
Thanks

Eric... you are answering my continuing plea to the firearms Gods!
Because I match my DW 41 up with my Marlin 1894 and heavy bullets, an option for the faster twist would be nice... but I'll be happy with whatever you come up with. I would think the faster twist barrels would only be necessary on, say, 6" barrels or longer, but you never know with these guys.

Any update on when these will be available?
The longer the wait the better for me, as I need to work some overtime and save up for two if Erik is making different or custom order lengths. I would first like one in 10" and then one in 2" to compliment my 8", 6", and 4"

The .41 tubes are drilled and reamed-next step is rifling them, as I mentioned I have 18.75 twist tooling ready to go. Working on a faster twist option, I'd love to offer that also in this batch.
The .41 stamp is ready to go, ended up with no period in front of the 41.
I'm setting a new to me machine up for all the Dan Wesson shrouds. This should really help out with the availability as its very labor intensive with the way I make them now. Only so many hours in the day! And also solve the material issue as I've had trouble getting stainless steel in the form I've used in the past.
If all goes well, look for the start of many good things around February!
