IHMSA, is that one of the original run of Marlin 1894's? I see the straight-grip stock. I have a 1894FG that I swapped parts to make a straight-grip; I'm thinking of whacking the barrel to 16", too… I did install a Williams peep sight on it as well.
All those .41's and no Ruger Bisley? I can fix that…

Another .41mag guy here. Bought my first, a Ruger Blackhawk in 1982. I also have a Redhawk, a Marlin 1894 from their more recent run, a S&W 8 3/8" stainless, two 8" DW blued, and will be making (as Mike did) a 414 switch barrel SM.
The barrel blank I bought for this project is long enough to make a 15". I haven't figured out a practical way to make a shroud for it though. I have no special setup for deep hole drilling. If I could find a couple of SM shrouds that needed finishing work (and wouldn't cost too much) I'd consider tig welding them together. Maybe 12" would be plenty long…..I just thought it'd be fun to have something different. Initially, that was the appeal of the .41mag for me…….it was different!

And I will pop in here as another .41 fan, I have hunted for a DW in .41 or .414 for a long time and never found one. Right now I have a 657, a Blackhawk, a Super 14 Contender and a Taurus in .41, matter of fact the 2" 5 shot Taurus is my everyday carry gun. I did have a Marlin in .41, but sold it to a friend that really wanted it. I had a Bisley years ago when I was still shooting IHMSA regularly, but it was not that accurate so I sold it.
