What would you guys like the .44 barrels to be? Love to hear your feedback to how we might be able to make any improvements by tweaking the .44 barrel specs.
The SAAMI .44 specs are-
.417 bore/.429 groove
6 groove
1:20 RH twist
Pretty set on the bore spec since I already have the tooling for that. Should have asked sooner. But maybe go with a 14-16 twist instead of the 20? And I believe my DW barrel is a 8 groove.
Really appreciate any feedback!

1 vote for a 4incher, not sure what the twist rate on my factory 8incher is
but it's more accurate rested than I will ever be offhand. Not sure if twist
makes any or much difference from 8 to 4 but considering most would
use the 4 incher for close (50 yrds and under) range.

Hey Eric the DW is not a 1-20", it's a 1:18.75" twist for all barrels according to Keith. That's why all the accuracy loads in the reloading books don't work, that's a PIA for some.
I would love a 3" barrel assembly myself.
