Hi Folks
I have been reading this forum for a year or so and finally am doing my first post.
I was lucky enough to find a 44 mag Pistol Pack at a gun show about 8 years ago. I had been looking on the web for some years and only saw a few that had prices way out of my price range. This was a great find. Started seriously using it this summer and it is one great gun.
The one I have has the full underlug shrouds. The pack came to me with a 4", 6", 8", and 10" shrouds and barrels + an extra 6" barrel.
I have seen many 2 barrel packs but no 4 barrel packs. Are the 4 barrel packs rare?
I saw one of the pictures of a revolver with a knurled nut at the muzzel. Mine has the recessed nut that requires the wrench. After seeing the knurled nut I started to think about whether I may be over tightening the nut. If you can sufficiently tighten it by hand with the knurled nut, it must not need very much torque. Does anyone know what the torque should be for the barrel nut?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Larry,
There was a special wrench that went around the outside of the knurled nut. It was the first design. On recessed barrel nuts, Most snug the nut down , then give it another quarter turn or so using the DW wrench or EWK metal design wrench.
My first pistol pac is just like yours. 44VH. The original owner bought the optional 4" and 10" at time of purchase in addition to the ones included.
