Be gentle fellows, I am new to the Super Mag stuff and am eager to learn.
Been reading about the 445 Super Mag on some various on-line sources. It seems as though you can shoot 44 magnum in a 445 Super mag so I am also guessing you can shoot 44 special in them as well? I have read that Dan Wesson used the same barrels for 445 super mag as a 44 mag barrel but for some reason the threading on the frame of a 445 super mag is different than the thread on the frame of a 44 mag. Therefore, 44 mag barrels and shrouds can not be fitted on a 445 super mag frame and 445 Barrels can not be fitted to a 44 Mag frame. IS this correct?
I have tried to use the search feature on this forum to see if I could find this info but I guess my search skills are lacking as I am guessing this may have been addressed previously.

Just to be sure I didn't give you the wrong info, I got out my 744 and 7445. The barrels are the same thread and can be used interchangeably.
However, you cannot use a 744 shroud on a 7445 because the slot for the ejector is too short on the .44 magnum shroud for the ejector rod on the 445SM.
