How does recoil of 44 mag ammo compare from a DW 44 to a SuperMag 445 (using std 44 mag ammo)?

A 445shooting 44 may ammo is like shooting 38s out of a 357. The SM frame is so heavy it soaks up the recoil nicely.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

I would agree with Scorpio, but I have to say the fews times I have done this the accuracy of the 44 mag was marginal.  For whatever reason the .38 fired from a .357 seems to stay more accurate than the .44 from a .445.  I think since the length of case difference in the .38 cal is closer in length would have much to do with this.

if i recall correctly, the difference between 38 and 357 case length is .100 of an inch. whats the difference between 445 and 44 mag?

445 SM brass is 1.600" and .44 Mag is 1.275"; .325" difference.

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Isn't the difference in cartridge length made even worse by the fact that the SM cylinder is longer than the .44 mag? At least in the .38/.357 comparison the cylinder is the same size.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I found shooting .38 special from a 357 max to be perfectly accurate, and a pussycat double action even.
