I have a DW 44VH8 that I bought new in the late 70's or early 80's. I'm thinking about
selling it since I don't shoot it anymore. The serial # is IHMSA6x. Anyone have an idea
as to the approximate value? Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have anything else with the gun, like box, tools, paperwork, extra grips? If it's just the gun by itself & it's in as good of shape as it appears in the pic, I'd say you could probably get $550~650 depending on what extras come with it.
An auction could possibly change that guess a bit, but that often depends on the week...some weeks auctions end high & some they end low.

Just bought one like it about 2 months ago and paid 499 plus shipping
and transfer. Yours seems to be a little nicer, mine has a few small
scratches on the shroud, which by the way, I'm having trouble removing.
Also bought one with the shorter lug 8" barrel) in beautiful shape for
450+ fees. Just an idea of what they're going for.
