Those marks look very similar to another Rhino currently for sale (a little hard to see in this pic)...

The milled cut in the shroud looks just like the one in THIS ARTICLE that Shoot scanned for us a while back. Comparing these two with what's in the article, I am fairly certain that Charlie Clemens was the gunsmith.

Also, I assume the "7" on your shroud and the "10"(?) on the one in my pic refers to the number of conversions done thus far.

I thought it might be a Clemens (thought or hoped, not entirely sure).   The seller was told that the "7" was the "serial number" so that lines up with your comment.  Thanks for the help!

44 Rhino was like the 445 Prototype, that is Dan Wesson original stamping.

Here is the original article dated 1988

https://www.danwessonforum.com/dwf-content/articles/Rhino0001.pdf

One year before the 1989 445 test article

I have one in my sights for $550.00 looks new, everyone else sells them for $1000.00

Have a link to the 1989 test article? Or maybe magazine/date? Thanks! Don

Don, it is July 1989 G&A. There are a few available on Epay.

Also, I scanned & posted the Jan '88 article on the Rhino >HERE<
