Your revolver can shoot 44 rounds but it was manufactured for a 445 round which is a considerably more powerful round. You can buy brass and reload yourself or you can buy the 445 rounds at Reeds Ammo twenty rounds cost $29.00 per box. As far as reloading goes there are many experts on that topic here at the Forum that would be a lot more knowledgeable than me. Hope this helps a little with your question. The .445 Supermag is 3/10ths of an inch longer than a 44 magnum, same caliber. It is one of the most powerful handgun cartridges there are. The 10"VH barrel assembly will temper the recoil considerably. Barrel lengths available are 4", 6", 8", and 91/2"(called 10"). You will need a barrel tool to adjust the cylinder gap, tune the barrel and change barrel lengths. You can also shoot 44 Special.

Great guns, shoot well, recoil is strong but very manageable. Shoots 44, 44 mag and 445 Super mag. I have more than a few examples of this caliber in my collection. I advise against shooting too many 44 and 44 mag as the shorter rounds can carbon up the chambers making future insertion of the longer 445 difficult.

My youngest daughter, 5'2" and 100 lbs soaking wet, LOVES to shoot the 445, and she's a great shot with it too. Always draws a crowd at the range when this little girl (she's 24) opens up with 31.5 grains of H110 and obliterates the targets shot after shot. I've had grown men who are afraid to shoot this caliber and I just have to laugh.
