I predicted 2500. My bid was designed not to win unless I got a deal. The winning bid plus 7 % sales tax, 1%Gunbroker windfall tax, and $80 shipping plus FFL fee pushes the price over my prediction. I am glad Scott won it. I am sure it isn't his first though😂.
ETGs are the only Dan Wessons that increase in value because of the serial number IMHO.

I recognized scout738 on there and you, but not that familiar with older members here especially if they haven't posted in the last year or so.
I went out @ just over $2K. I already broke the bank this month with another 740 and Vigil CCO....both arriving soon I hope. I'd like the ETG 722, but priced out for a .22.
Saving my $$$$ for the next slotted 10" BA on a 40/740 or 7445

I'm pretty ignorant regarding DW revolvers. Got my first .44 just a couple weeks ago and have yet to pick up the .357 Pistol Pack I bought recently (will post about that shortly).
With the Supermag, what is special about the ETG guns? Is there a handy info sheet to read? : ) It seems that this went for more than what a "bare" .445 SM sells for. Are the .445 guns selling for much more than .357 Max? I actually know where a .357 Max is available with two barrels and some other accessories, but I have not bought it because I don't know what it should go for. GB doesn't show a lot of "sold" history for any of the Big DWs.
Thanks!

ETG: Elgin T. Gates is the designer of the Supermags. If you get one of his guns, then you ghave something really special. Did you get .357 Max?
Gates recieved the first 25 Supermags made in each caliber. The have the ETG in the serial number. I think 103 is just that, the 103rd gun of the regular production. The Supermag were also made available to IHMSA members with the serial number being IHMSA and their IHMSA number. They could be also an A, B, or C depending on how many they ordered. Same scenario for the Field Pistol Packs.
II think the prices of the 445/7445 ETGs and the 40/740ETGs are similar. The 375SM sells for less usually. I think they are only in blue. I am not sure if there is an ETG 375. I think the 7414 were marked Palmer. Only 25 or 29 were made there. There were only stainless. More were made in Norwich. Stainless and some few blue guns.
ETG roll marked guns are identical to the regular production. They seem to be the only Dan Wessons that sell for a premium because of the serial number.
