My local gun store has a 715, not a blem gun, which they ordered shortly after DW started producing them. It’s been in the case for some time. The price is good. The owner doesn’t jack the price up, it stays where it was when he acquired the gun.
However, I know, at least with the 1911s, DW has changed the parts and so on over time. A 2008 Valor is not the same as a 2010 Valor for example. In some cases they went from cast to forged and upgraded parts and so on. Has that been the case with the 715? Or is an early one the same as a later one? I know they are still cast frames, but in terms of parts and such, has there been a change.
The price is not SO good that I would pay it for a gun that was not up to current spec.
Thanks!

If it is from the current production run, I don't think there have been any changes. All the parts should be virtually identical to the old 715's except for barrel shroud style and thats only cosmetic. Functionally they are the same. If the price is right, grab it.
