Finally picked up a 715 I bought on GB 3 weeks ago. The pics were very dark. nobody seemed interested. I looked closer and it was a Norwich. It had a barrel that looked like a fixed but again it was a Norwich. They did not make fixed barrels did they? I asked for a pic from the seller of the front of the barrel and behold a barrel nut. I bought it for $830. So where did this Palmer notched barrel come from and why is it on a Norwich? Was it a left over barrel that bob Sevia put on a Norwich frame? I took the grip off and behold this gun is a First Issue. Where did the barrel go and why would anyone take a First Issue barrel off a beautiful First Issue gun and replace it with this weird notched barrel? How did this notched Palmer barrel which I thought was only on fixed barrel guns show up! Is it rare? Now to the 7445 the hammer has swirl markings on it was this a factory job and would you pay extra for it? I like the look. This was the gun I bought last week for $1650 on GB buy now. I sure am glad my prostate woke me up that day!

I don't believe jewelling was a factory option.
Engine turning, also known as jewelling, is a fine geometric pattern turned onto metal as a finish. Any appropriate surface can be finely machined to produce intricate repetitive patterns that offer reflective interest and fine detail. - Wikipedia

I put original grips on it and this barrel I had. Looks pretty good! I wish I could find a First Issue barrel but a fat chance of that. I remember in Jan. there was 2 First Issue barrels on ebay with a price of $2000 they sold pretty quick but they most likely took an offer!
There's that ebay barrel that you had listed.
