I sent a model 15 in to Dan Wesson about 6 months ago to have a stuck barrel removed. They told me the gun was out of time and recommended a new hand and new springs. I do not remember the cost, but it was not expensive. The timing is perfect now. I would try a new hand and new springs.

I have a 715 with a timing problem. On a slow single action or a slow trigger pull single action, the cylinder does not lock up. It fails by about 1/32. Can anyone kindly offer advice?
I have a model 15 that was the same way, it would lock on three chambers and not on the other three so logic suggested that the extractor was the culprit. I felt this gun had a very low round count and thought there was a good chance it was this way from the get go or someone fiddled with it. My father bought it used 40 years ago, shot 5 rounds through it and kept it in his night stand. Cylinder would barely rotate when I got it.
I bought a new hand thinking I might gear up for it but ended up not being able to find a new extractor anyway. New hand was too expensive from third party.
Sent it in. New extractor = fitting for headspace, new hand and yes, all springs.
I felt lucky CZ kept DW going and was able to get the new components installed correctly on my 50 year old pistol.
BTW, it required two visits to get it correct. Return was warranty.
Several improvements such as the crane and bushing in front of the cylinder now give me the ability to shim.
Service and parts were reasonable. Shipping expensive.
