Hello everyone!
I have several DW 1911's, but this is my first DW revolver. I *believe* it is a 722-VH8 pistol pak, but that is why I'm here to confer with the experts.
I was told it was unfired and from the looks of it I believe it. The bore is as shiny and clean as the day it was made.
So...is it rare? Did I find a goodie?
Thanks to everyone in advance for your help.

First welcome to the DWF. You have acquired a very nice DW. To try and answer your questions.
Is it rare? No, but fairly uncommon.
Is it a goodie? Absolutely!!
722 is correct, VH8 refers to the 8 inch Vent Heavy barrel assembly.
Normally a pistol pack would come with 4 barrel assembly's, 2.5,4,6,8. but it could have been ordered in any configuration.
However you look at it you have one sweet package.

Love the pic. it's like my DW .44 however I have 3 shrouds and 6 barrels 3 ported and 3 non ported. Is that unusual ? Any one know ? And what is it worth cause I picked this up for around $900 and want to know if I got ripped off or not. I don't fell like I got cheated any way.

The action on this thing is frickin AWESOME! Smooth as butter in double action and breaks so perfect in single action.
It's almost making me want to sell this, lest I sell all my other pistols and replace them with more DW's!
Here's some more pics. -

Been there, done that, where did all my money go?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Steel you have been lurking it looks like! Welcome Back!
Yes you have a nice one, pull the bottom foam out the yellow is not attached then lift it off and see if this mini pac was made as a 2 barrel pac! Now all you need is the 732. 732-20, then a 738, 715, and on and on......

There really is no difference in quality between the plants. There seem to be more Monson guns around than Palmers or Norwich. Not that it affects quality or price but it does help determine what time period the gun was produced. I.E. Norwich guns came after Monon and Palmer, so saying that you have a Monson gun denotes an earlier date of production, in general anyway.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.
