dwas This is at a LGS.
Looking for input on what this 722VH10 is worth given it has a boogered up spot near muzzle left hand side.  Otherwise it seems like a really nice revolver.  It is a single-action only revolver.  Since it has the RAM logo both sides, is it an IHMSA pistol?  Or just a silhouette pistol?  The price on it is $650 & includes what you see plus orig manual, rear iron sight, extra front sights, and box.  Nothing else.

TIA fellow Danners!!

Hey I think you’re correct, probably not an IHMSA pistol.

I’m definitely leaning towards buying it.  I’ll have to drive to the LGS and see it in person.  A buddy saw it and texted me those pics.

My 22LR DW is a pleasure to shoot, and dead-ass accurate.

I drove over to see it in person.  Unfortunately, the shroud is bent and the barrel nut looks like the sides where the wrench applies pressure to tighten are both ramped.  They don’t have a barrel nut wrench & I didn’t think to bring mine along so I decided to hold off purchasing until I can go back with a wrench and see if it will separate or not.  They said they were fine with me trying to separate.  To be continued…

I would pass on this one.

Sage advice!!  I went back with my wrench and that nut wouldn’t budge.

That shroud ding is an easy fix, I've done a couple.  Just take it off, find a socket as close to the size of the opening as possible.  Put it in the opening and, using a brass or phenolic hammer, gently dolly the ding back round.  Since it's stainless, you can clean up any marks with a tan scotch brite pad or fine brass wool.

That gun is probably single action only, most of the ram guns were, but not all.

Price isn't bad.

This is a good buy, the Model 22 & 722 with 10 inch Ram barrel for the Silhouette crowd were single action.

It's definitely a good price, faults and all, as the problems are small and easily fixed.

Like Scorpio said or an old dull step drill since it is only on the outer edge.

It won't be perfect but for the price it's more than okay.

Plus, I'm sure he can even negotiate the price some

How do you fix a bent shroud ?

I put a close fitting socket into the damaged end of the shroud. (usually happens form being dropped) and then I work around the outside with a brass hammer and keep rolling and tapping until the dent is dollied out.  Afterwards, polish the entire shroud and it is indistinguishable  from normal.  Just takes some time and patience.

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

A good deal if it has box,, tool, etc. The nut could be loctited on. The Single Action only is because the hammer has no strut and strut plunger. It can be easily converted to DA/SA by putting in a regular hammer. You can use any length BAs with it too.

No box, no tool included.  And I cannot get the barrel nut off.  Tried several times, didn’t budge.  I’ve been screwed before with a pistol that had a VH15” BA with a stuck barrel nut and I’m not going thru that again.  Bob the revolver smith had to destroy the 15” barrel to get it apart.  If the nut would come off I would have bought it.
