I looked around and found lots of recommendations for speed loaders for the 715, but not for the 357 SuperMags. Will the 40 and 740 use the same speed loaders as the smaller revolvers? If not, does anyone know if HKS or another brand makes one the right size?

I think Zedbra will have a negative report. I don't have them in front of me but the supermag cylinder is much bigger than a 715.

If you can get a speed loader for a large frame, like a 44 mag, it should fit the 740. I think I have some from Safariland, I'll have to check.

Thanks for looking into it for me, everyone. If we can't come up with anything, I might order one for a S&W 27/28 N frame to see if it will work.

Ok, I have an HKS 29 that works with 41 mag and 44 mag as well as 414 and 445. I dont have any for the 357SM or the 375 SM. The HKS 10 works with standard 357 in a model 15-2 but is way too small a diameter for the Super mags. Maybe this will give you something to go on.

Sorry for the late reply - the answer has been given already, though. Regular .357 MAG speed loaders do not work with the .357 SM.

Speed strips have worked great for me, but I had an itch to figure this out. The HKS 27-A is a perfect fit.

Based on this thread I ordered a 27A. It worked. So, I requested the maker of these...(pic) to make 3 in 27A size, They did and I bought all 3 @ $30ea. I bet they will make more if anyone wants them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325286785533

So based of previous purchases, I speculate they bought the HKS 27-A, ground and polished the stamp away, and engraved the DW logo? And, I am okay with that as these 3 make nearly a dozen I have purchased in the last couple years. Every "pac" gets at least one.
