What BAs interchange with a 740 Max? Only Model 40/740 BAs? Can I put a 715-2 .357 shroud on a .357 Maximum frame? I realize I probably should not shoot a .357 Max cartridge thru a reg .357 barrel, but I could fire regular .357 & .38?

The 740 is a large frame. Small frame barrel assemblies like the 357 will not fit.

The small frame gun will not chamber 357 Maximum, 357 Supermag, or DW 360. The model 40 /740 will chamber all of them plus 357 mag and 38 special.
