Do you have pictures? It could be your timing is off. You can cock the gun and see if the cylinder is locked. If you can turn the cylinder before it's locked in place your timing is off.
Was the ammo you were shooting retail or reloads? None of my revolvers hit the primer dead center but are off about half the width of the firing pin.

Most of my revolvers hit off center too, to one degree or another...I think I have two that are actually on center. The worst one is my DW 15-2 (I would post a pic, but I just punched out all my primers a few weeks ago), however the cylinder is also a bit loose at lockup. The gun has had a LOT of rounds down the pipe before I got it & it also spits lead...sometimes worse than others.
If yours acts like that, then maybe it's just a gun with a lot of miles & needs to go home to mother DW for a tune-up. I'm going to send mine off one of these fine days.

I finally figured out the problem with the missfires it wasnt the firepin at all turns out that some of the reloads were not going all the way in to the cylinder and when the cylinder was rotating it wasnt locking up in the right place I am now using a .429 sizing die and lee factory crimp die all is well
