I bought a used 744 with 3 barrels that has Monson stamped on it and a serial number that begins IHMSA... I realize that it was probably made in Palmer, and dating it is difficult, but what year ranges were they made with those identifiers known?

About all I can offer is early to mid 80's. Not sure what's in the serial number registry. I don't have any original dates for my IHMSA 44's.

Thank you. The shop I bought it from thought about '82-'83, but he wasn't sure. I likely won't narrow it down any closer than what you said.
