I actually had this range day two weeks ago, but am finally reporting.. The first trip to the range with this revolver had it firing way too high with no further rear sight adjustment to go. After returning home and replacing the front sight with one of Keith's patridge taller front blades we have some success. I loaded some 45 Colts with 20.0 grains of H-4227 with a 240grain XTP bullet and fired this nice group at 25-yards two hand hold, no rest. I was really pleased with the result, this 745 really likes that combination. I had also loaded a few rounds much hotter with H-110 but had so few to try I did not have an good target to offer with moving the sight around. More loads needed. I never spent much time with the 45LC cartrige before but am contempleting this being next year's PA whitetail sidearm.

Good morning
It seems to me it would be a simple modification to get a 44 mag cylinder opened up to 45 Colt and a "custom" .452 barrel threaded for either a 44 mag or 41 mag frame (have one of theses) . As the price of the "semi-scarce" calibers continue to make them collectors items it looks to be a cost productive way to have another elusive caliber.
