Very nice looking gun.
In 1994, the Dan Wesson revolver became available in a conventional fixed barrel version, at slightly less cost. These fixed barrel guns were an attempt to compete with the big boys (S&W, Ruger, Tarus) for the vanilla gun buyer. These fixed barrel guns were not reintroduced by the (Norwich) NYI company.
wdelack another gun with the ser# starting with 357

Not sure if this goes with this thread but I have a barrel nut that came with a barrel and shroud that has no lugs on it.
That's right, a barrel nut that is just a smooth circle of steel, nowhere to tighten it and no hex or multi groove head as the external nuts had. It's identical to a blued barrel nut but without the slots.
I'm at a loss as to what it's use could have been since once it's in place there would be no way to tighten the barrel and once the barrel is tightened there is no way to tighten the nut.
No way could it be from something else, not in that size and threads.
I've considered milling a couple of slots in it for use but don't need another barrel nut that bad yet and am hanging onto it just as a conversation piece.
Didn't mean to hijack the thread
