The topic sould say 741 not 714...
I have had more than my share of firearms problems over the years. I don't judge a firearm company on if their product is good or bad, I judge the company on how it deals with problems.
Dan Wesson has twice done me right. I had a new 744 with a bad cylinder. They paid for the shipping and fix the repair as they should. My old and worn 741 that I sent in for loose cylinder. They fixed it and I paid them for their service. After I got it back and shot it the 741 and the crane got loose again.
After contacting DW they paid shipping both ways, replaced the cylinder alingment ball spring, tightened and smoothed the action, replaced bolt, gave me a new feeler gauge and test fired at no charge. The gun is tight now.
I am not sure what happened to the gun when they serviced it the first time but they did the right thing and even went over and beyond doing the right thing by fixing other things that they were not responsible for. +1 for DWF
All I need to know is what do they do to tightened and smoothed the action?

Glad to hear you had a good experience with CZ-USA for your repair. I've had the same results minus having to send something back. I've met Keith and he and his staff impressed me as talented and devoted craftsmen ( no females noted ) , except Priscella and she's excellent in her capacity too.
Maybe this gives us some idea about the quality of the new 2011 .357's hopefully coming down the road...........
Did you shoot it yet since the second repair? I don't know how they do the action but perhaps someone here will have an idea.
