I recently bought a used 714 and would like to know if the grip post is the same for all of the small framed revolvers? I used to own a 15 and a 15-2 years ago but had forgot how small the post inside the grip is. Is mine the same size as the 15-2?

Yes, the grip post is the same for all small frame DW's, with the exception of the Lil' Dan 738P+. As long as other grips you're looking at have a square hole inside, they should fit your gun.

Thanks. I remember my old DW's as being the most accurate revolver I've ever owned and I'd like to reassemble a collection.

Flash- We are all in the terminal stages of assembling a collection, you're in good company. Many of your questions are easily answered by cruising the Forum, the most common unanswered question relates to date of manufacture/serial # info.
