Hello Everyone, I need some advice. I'm planning on getting another barrel for my 15-2 in 4 inch. Should I get the  DW one or go with EWK Barrel? I currently have the 6" barrel is Solid Rib/Heavy barrel. Thank You in advance for anyone opinion/Suggestion.

All depends on your preferences. Some folks will only have a Monson/Palmer/Norwich original for collect-ability or nostalgia reasons. For purely shooting purposes there should be little to no difference, possibly a barrel made on modern machinery will be a little better, but I have no direct experience.

BTW- that 6H shroud is probably the least commonly found shroud IMO

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thank You for the Info Steve, I been told that several times regarding the shroud. That was what attract me to it, Not knowing that at the time that it is "uncommon''". So the designation for the shroud would be 6H? Thank You for your time again Steve. Now the hard part is finding one in 4" long configuration similar to it .

IMOP go with the EWK!  The 4" will add some weight and give you better control. While over there be sure and snag the wrench and Fiber optic sights for both!

As Steve said some want only like what they have! Others like someting different. Keep us posted!

Hello Dave, I am partial to the EWK Look…. So when I order the shroud from EWK I also need to order the Fiber optic sight? I though it came with the kit. I was aware of the wrench + spacer… Thank You Dave for the info.

P.S. I really like the shroud on your pic. Did you order that thru EWK?

Dave,

I'd like to know where to pick up a vented shroud like the one on your weapon?

Is that Parkerized, duracoated?

Guys the EH custom is from EWK He had made it for someone and they didn't like it so I bought it!  Send an email to Eric at EWK, he can fix you up with almost anything!  I think you can have the FO sights installed if ordering the EH's .  Not sure on the finish on it though it matches one I have that was Molly coated!  poke
