just bought this mod.15 from friend who had owned it for 10+years. first dw revolver I have owned,it has 6 " slotted v barrel. I need advice on a barrel tool,scope base and scope.im 72 and eyesite is lacking any advice would be appreciated thanks.

For a barrel tool, there is none better than those made by EWKarms (see link on right side of screen).  For scope mounts you have a few choices, none of which are cheap or easy to find but Gunbroker and ebay have them fairly regularly.  The B-square clamp on mounts are fairly common but pricey.  Weigand makes a nice mount that is drill and tap.  I think Leupold made clamp on rings that fit the vent rib and they are probably the best.  I have a set on a 32 IFP field pistol.  

As to scopes, I have a few Leupold scopes on some of my guns and the optics are fantastic.  I also have a few Simmons brand pistol scopes and they also work quite well.

thanks for the help,just ordered the weigand mount and barrel tool.the guy at weigand told me he only has 5 or 6 left and are not making any more for dg.i was under the impression the 357 was a mid frame but is small.  thanks again don
