The end of January I purchased a new 715 pistol pack. The 8" and 4" shrouds had minor blems on them, so I went ahead and sent them back to DW USA on Feb 4th. I received the shrouds back today on March 1st and to my disappointment the do not look the same to me, I would have been better off just keeping them as they first came, at least they would have had the original look.
Uh, what is the problem? Let's see the frame to compare. Historically, the finish of the shrouds and frames of Dans Wessons have often been been different. BAs are fungible so a slightly different finish is considered normal. IMHO. If you are not satisfied I will buy it from you, at a steep discount of course. Haha. Just being cute.

I don't know, the middle one looks like the .357 Magnum stands out a little more. Also, the two sent back, are they lighter? It's not real noticeable, unless your looking for it, which I assume every time you look at them you see that. If it bothers you call them up and see if they will exchange them for ones they didn't rework. I'm assuming they reworked the ones you sent back.

Thank you Stinger for posting the pictures and thank everyone for all the replies.
The difference in the coloring of the actual shroud isn't the problem, as willy said, its the .357 Magnum Markings. The dark outline (double pin stripe) which is present on the 6" shroud, which wasn't sent back, is how all the shrouds came from the factory. The revolver has the same black in the frame where it states Mfg, and serial #. I ordered a 2.5" bbl as well and just wanted it all to look at it was meant to, nothing more, nothing less. Bought it NEW so would expect it to be as new.
I haven't even shot it yet, though, I plan to tomorrow with the 6" bbl assembly.

Also, the difference in the coloring of the shrouds has more to do with the way it was polished than the stainless. The factory original is polished lengthwise and the re-polished shrouds are polished in multiple directions, therefore it refracts light different giving a different hue.
