Sorry guys, I read all the info I could but am still confused. I need to know about these two Dan Wesson revolvers as far as model numbers.
#1- Has adjustable rear sight, red insert in front sight, 8" bar.- bar.shroud. Says "Dan Wesson Arms 357 magnum ctg" under bar. & "Dan Wesson Arms, monson, mass.usa ser # is 2735XX . is blued in color.
#2- Has same sights as above, 6"bar, "Dan Wesson Arms cal.22lr"on bar shroud, and the same Monson, mass etc. on the side. It is stainless. ser #22S0014xx.
Both have some type of "threaded insert" looking thing on front of brl.

Blazer,
Welcome to the forum, you are in the right place and amongst friends that share your disease, er, uh, I mean "passion..."
Both pistols are DW small frame revolvers.
The .357 mag is a model 15-2 probably built around 1980 give 'er take a couple.
The .22 is a model 722 (7=SS, 22=chambering)
Check this DW brochure from 1988 that has pictures, specs, etc. on both revolvers:

You can find this under the files tab at the top of the forum page.
The threaded deal is the barrel nut and you are the lucky owner of pistols with removable and interchageable barrels.
You'll need a barrel wrench to take them off, but you can still buy them. Surf the forum, we have tons of info on all details!!
