I have recently purchased a 15-2 Monson, Mass. frame and it has a timing issue where the cylinder lock does not fully lock before the hammer drops.  Not sure if this is a Hand or Paw issue or if it is a cylinder issue.  I have contacted Dan Wesson in Norwich and am awaiting a reply.  Does anyone here have experience dealing with their repair service on older Dan Wessons??

Thanks

Bowhunter, yes I sent in a 15-2 last year with a broken crane. While the revolver was in, they also replaced the hand and retimed the cylinder. I am more than happy with the work performed. I had emailed Keith Lawton directly, he then referred me to the service dep. I think that was Bob. Here is a thread about the repairs, if you have any questions hit me up-

Sent my 15-2 to the factory for a bent crane and general check. It came back in excellent condition and the price was very reasonable, I thought.

Had them repair a badly damaged shroud that also needed to be re-blued, and they did a great job for what I thought was a fair price.

As a general observation, we have seen very few (possibly no?) issues with revolver work done by DW.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Okay great to read these replies.  I have only contacted DW via e-mail and did get a reply instructing me to filled out an online form about the issue I am having.  I hope they are willing to work on it and receive the frame.  Looking forward to hopefully reporting back the same positive experience.

I for one had issues with a repair.  Revolver came back with more problems than it went in with.  But they did get it right the second time around.  Things can happen and everyone deserves a second chance.  Just a royal pain and added expense to send in twice.
