Hello guys!
I have been lurking this forum for some time without account, and this prompted me to register. Does anyone have access to the Database of serial numbers? I own two DW revolvers, a 14-2 and 715, and I see no reason not to add them up (or learn they already are listed), and possibly see if there is anything more to learn about my guns in the process, such as specific date of manufacture, or anything else.
Plus anything else I might know about the history of my specific guns and which the Database collects. Could anybody help me out?
Thanks a lot!

Members do not add their guns to the list. An application is completed and submitted to forum staff and they decide whether to add it or not.Members must have bought it new themselves, or have original purchase paperwork that is dated.
to the (finally).
Oh, I see. I bought the Blue 14-2 in pristine condition in the original box and manual, but no letter or any dated documents. The 715 is mildly used and no original stuff came with it. I forgot to mention, both are Palmers.
Thank you guys for the warm welcome! 🙂 As I mentioned I'll be more of a forum lurker than much of an active contributor, as a relative novice gun owner for only a few years I don't have much to contribute to the knowledge vault. But I fell for revolvers and Dan Wessons in particular and am happy to know more about them as well as read experiences.

Welcome from central IL!!Pics of your Dans are always welcomed!
Thank you! 🙂 Sure thing, here the 715 boy, with the original wood stock and the Pachmayr I replaced it with for carry:
It's not very visible, but you can notice on the frame and barrel small lion coat of arms with N next to 95. It means it has been approved by Czech Bureau for Firearms and Ammunition Testing in 1995. The previous owner had it since that time, and I'm the second owner.

Those are European import stamps/marks when the gun initially came from the US to Czech customs, which you sound as though you are familiar with. From the photos, your gun appears to be a 4" Fixed Barrel 715. Those guns were originally shipped wearing rubber Hogue Monogrip grips. the wood grips in your first photo have been swapped for a set from an earlier DW small frame, likely from the mid~late 80's.
Here is a photo of my Palmer 3" Fixed Barrel (FB) 15's, one blued, one stainless...wearing their original grips.
A FB business end should look like this, with no nut...
This is how you measure barrel length here in the States...

I see Hogue still sells these grips. I wanted to have some "classic" feel to my gun, which for me would spell 80s or early 90s, so I got them the Pachmeyrs. I'll check out and consider the Hogue, even though I'm not a fan of the Sacramento style.
Here is a pic of the 14-2. I put on him the worn out wood grips I originally bought with the 715, but the 14-2 has exactly the same ones, just nicer. This revolver was pristine when I bought it; it was never in hands of a private citizen. A dealer bought it in 90s in Germany, but never sold it this whole time. After his death, his associate put it for sale again and now it's mine. It doesn't have the lion import stamps for some reason. I carried it for a few months, and it starts to show some wear marks. Another reason I jumped on the opportunity to get the stainless steel DW. I love these guns, but I wanna put them to use, carry and shoot them without feeling bad about abusing them.
