I'm looking at buying a 2 1/2" , or 4" barrel from EWK. i'm thinking about the possibility of using a iwb holster, like a supertuck, or an owb leather holster for concealed carry. how does the weight of the snubby compare to, say a ruger sp101? i know it's not the smallest carry gun, but i think it would be smaller than a 1911 full size? if i can't conceal carry it, then i'm going to buy a 4" barrel, just cause it's more convenient than the 6" i have now. eventually i'll work my way up to the full set. kinda like potato chips, can't stop at just one:)

Not regularly, but I have cc'd a 2 1/2" with Pachmayr Grippers OWB under a jacket. It's probably lighter that a Gov't Model 1911, but a little bulkier/wider.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Tried it a couple times and put it back in the safe. There are too many better alternatives out there – S&W 360PD revolver weighing in at 12 oz., or in a semi. Ruger LCP, Beretta 84 or 92 compact. There's a slew of modern CCW products out there today that fit the bill much better.

This will be DWF Heresy but for me a .357 of any variety is not my top CCW choice. The easiest, first, and always best choice is a Ruger LCP with 6+1 of .380 Hornady Critical Defense, with backup mag pretty close at hand, because it is always there (and always means ALWAYS).
When I choose an alternative it is an S&W Model 59, 14+1, with a 14 round backup. At home the S&W is my "bridge" to much more.

I carry according to season--1911 is not a summer carry, but it fits nice under a winter sweater and coat.
summer defers to my Star BM in 9mm...
everything else fits in there somewhere.... including the 14-2
But like Steve said... you gotta carry it to use it.

So many of todays polymer frame guns are so blocky that I find them hard to carry inside the waistband. A buddy of mine has a Walther PPK S and it is nice and slim, almost fits in the palm of your hand. I don't like shooting it though as the slide bites me big time. After two or three mags I'm bleeding and I don't have large hands. I'd love to carry a revolver, simple, no slides, no grip safetys, just point and shoot. But they are bulky, I've looked for small ones and they are still too thick for easy carry IMHO.
I like the Ruger LCP. A friend is trying to sell me his Beretta PX4 Storm, but its blocky too.
I'm trying a SIG P250 SC now and so far I like it, but come summertime, I think I'll need an LCP or similar.
Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Scorpio-
I value the LCP, and it's predecessor, the Keltec P3AT, because I think they fit the gap in modern CCW- the gun that is not there until you absolutely need a gun, all day, every day, and nobody needs to know about it. The gun I always have is more effective than all the guns in my safe.
When I choose to carry anything else, I usually default to one of two guns:
S&W Model 59 in 9 mm (lots of holes)
DW PM 1-S in .45 ACP (fewer holes, but bigger)
If I could carry an M-60 I would, but I can't find an IWB holster for it

I carry my model 14-2 similar to Shoot's with 2 1/2" barrel, mostly when i'm hiking etc. It is a little heavy but it is the only revolver I could ever hit anything in double action, I've been practicing and getting pretty good with it. I still like the stopping power of a .357.
That being said, I have been thinking for a long while of getting an LCP, it's concealability is hard to argue with and everyone who has one seems to like it.

I tried but I cant find a IWB holster that will fit a 15-2 with the EWK 2.5 " barrel …
I might be able to faciliatte that request
Really? IWB that will fit the 2.5" EWK slabside? That would be pretty awesome. Carry a g20 now so not like the dan would be much bigger... I think the slabside snub on the 15-2 is probably the coolest .357 out there... Imho I think those Colt pythons are ugly xD
