Good evening, folks! I am interested in purchasing a DW revolver, however, I have a question to ask before I pick one up. Can I put a .44 mag cylinder and barrel on a .357 (or vice versa) if I use the proper sized frame? I apologize if this question has already been asked, however, I did use the search function and did not come up with anything relevant. Thank you for your time!

First to the. The answer is no. Barrels and frames are threaded different to prevent accidental mix-up of cylinder barrel combos. Also a 44 is the large frame and 357 is a small frame. Custom jobs have been done but it requires building custom parts.

Abeman88. Yes, you most certainly will have to buy more than one DW. You will soon find that it is very hard to resist the disease known here as DWAS. Before long you will have more Dan's that you ever thought possible, and your bank account will be substantially smaller.

Welcome to the forum indeed, more the merrier.
Any model that starts with a 7 will be stainless as you might notice in the list above.
Myself I would like to find a 732 and buy extra cylinder and have bored to 327 or just have the one cylinder bored, but would not want to ruin a OEM cylinder on a NIB or LNIB gun however. A blued 15 & 44 would be nice. I missed the 22 trying to get for less then $300 and go back next day and its been sold.

I can understand your confusion with these guns, 22, 32, 38, 357 because the guns are the same frames and why DW only gave one caliber a model number. I hate to even use the "15" as it's so confusing to so many, including me sometimes.

Good morning
There is always a way to do something IF you are skilled enough and wiling to put in the work.
Generally it would be "POSSIBLE" to rechamber to another caliber IF you stay with in the same frame size. An eception would be that .22 .
If you wanted to change a 41mag to 44mag it can be done...
You can rechamber a 375 Supermag to 414 Supermag without causing any damage to the origonal frame.
But again you need to stay within frame size and be willing to do alot of fitting, lathe and purchase of custom barrels.
What I would like to see is a 5 shot 41 mag built on a DW model 15 frame. That would be an interesting project !
