THE ITCH said As a matter of fact the founder Dan Wesson gave me my first sales order when I first started. How time flies.
If someone could answer this question I would appreciate it.Thanks, Steve
Just how old ARE you since he died like 1906, Or do you mean his son, who died in like 1978? Son was not the FOUNDER of Dan Wesson, dad was.

Ah, no. Daniel Baird Wesson II (our Dan Wesson) was the great grandson of the co-founder of Smith & Wesson Daniel Baird Wesson. Daniel II left S&W in 1968, unhappy with the direction S&W was taking under Bangor Punta, and founded Dan Wesson Arms. He died November 1978, chopping wood.
FACT!
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

That name is ringing a bell and I think you have it right. It was the other way around thou. Bob McWilliams was the financial guy and new all the tricks of in an out of chapter 11. Dick was a great guy (I don't know why I could not remember his name) and definately a hands on type like Dan was. He was the sales person and on the road alot. He had a wonderful personality and was liked by most everyone. When the split occured there were lots of employee's that were hoping Dick would end up with the company but in the end he got an offer that he accepted.
Thanks for the memory jog, Steve

Bob McWilliams' partner at the time would have been Dick Rosenfeld, I think. I've been told that Bob was a great salesman, Dick was the financial guy.

Ha, Ha good one. I'm not quite that old YET! Thou there are days when I feel like 107. I refuse to give my age so all my girlfriends don't find out (I wish).

He's talking about this...
The story I got when I bought it was that it was going to be one of those limited edition engraved guns, obviously something to do with bears. For whatever reason, the engraving never was completed & I totally lucked out when I found it for sale. It also came with this cool grip. And yes, it screws on just like a normal DW grip.
