I recently purchased a Dan Wesson 15-2 revolver that appears to be unfired. From the serial number 101xxx and the paperwork inside the box, it would appear to be a 1977 manufactured gun. However, it came with the grips pictured, which have no Dan Wesson medallions. Could someone please tell me if these are factory Dan Wesson grips, or are these aftermarket? Every other Dan Wesson that I have seen with target grips, had medallions in the grips. I would appreciate knowing what I have here. Thanks very much!

They look factory, I have a few sets like the one pictured.

Yes, factory grips, and likely original with your 1977 15-2

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks to everyone above for answering my question! I'm glad to hear that these are genuine Dan Wesson factory grips. In my very limited experience, I had not seen factory grips without medallions. I knew I'd get a knowledgeable answer here!

My first DW had no medallions either, and was also a 1977 gun.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I recently acquired a Palmer gun and the medallions are plastic. Big Surprise to me.
