Does anyone know the availability of the new DW (CZ) 15-2s?

Anyone know if they will be available in California?

I would love to have a stainless 15-2 in my collection!

Good morning

I would contact CZ headquarters by phone and let them know your interest.  I have found a call will get far better response.  Then do a search and find out if there is a DW distributor in your state and give them a call.  It is the squeaky wheel that gets greased.

Yes, going to check up on whether the 15-2 stainless can be bought in California.  Will call CZ and report back.  dwf-sign

Cut and paste from the second GB link posted:

California bidders are welcome however $10 will be added to the total price for completion of the states paperwork.

Looks like CA may be possible on this. Good Luck!

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

First thing to do is see if it is on the CA DOJ approved list... many dealers are not aware of CA laws.

Unfortunately there are no revolvers on the CA DOJ Roster, so if you want a new 715, you'd have to see about doing a single action only conversion prior to paperwork.

So I was cruzing GB for our beloved DW, when I saaw another auctin for the new one. This, for some reason prompted me to look over at the CZ-usa sight to see if there is any NEW news on the revos.

The revo listing is gone.

They have an entire section of "Discontinued products" ... the revo is not there... its not anywhere.  It never existed. Search .. nothing.

Talk about a limited run.  Get ready for a whole new rare DW.

anyone know something??

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

LGS just got one yesterday.  I might go look at it today just for fun, but another classic DW revolver enthusiast who saw it yesterday reports fit and finish aren't anywhere close to old DW standards and that the trigger is just plain awful (compared to the DW 15-2 and other DWs of the time).

This is certainly possible, the only known specimen of this gun owned on DWF had some pretty significant finish problems. I had extensive "fondle time" with one about a month ago and I found fit, finish, and (dry fire) function to be excellent. The only flaw was the asking price 2-3 times what I paid for my last 715

I just played with the local LGS' 715.  I loved the front heavy weight, the sights, and the classy recessed cylinders.  Finish was more than acceptable.  I hated the action:  Very stiff and heavy (but not as bad as, say, an unimproved Ruger SP-101).  One of the clerks described the double action pull as feeling as if it contained a glob of thick grease.  Single action was better, but still very stiff.  I have no idea whether or how much it would loosen up after several hundred rounds.  Not sure I want to plunk down $1000+ only to have to get an expensive trigger job so its trigger will approximate my two marvelous 15-2s and several older S&W 27s.

A couple of observations:

EVERY new gun "shoots in". I've never owned a new gun that did not get better and smoother with shooting.

It's still a Dan Wesson design. There is no reason that the procedures and techniques of the the Average Joe Tune Up do not apply, with the likely exception of spring replacement.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
