This site is starting some pretty bad habits for me. I've been banging away with the DW22 and today after seeing and reading about so many wonderful big bores, I thought I'd better take the DW44 along to the range.
Open up the 44, load two rounds in the upper cylinder, weight of the rounds roll the cylinder, this ought to be fun! The smell of Unq. and bullet lube, along with that "push" after squeezing the trigger.
Great day. I need bigger paper plates...I'm sure they must have been bigger back when!

Man cannot live by one caliber alone.
So many guns out there, so little time.
Some paper plates are just begging to have holes punched in them.
I know there's more, but they're not coming to me...haven't had my coffee yet.
Ahhh...I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning!

My 357max came back from DW yesterday; too late to shoot, but I shot her today. They did excellent work, the trigger is a lot smoother in double action and primo in single action. It seems lighter than before and I had put a set of light springs a few years ago. Based on the parts; they replaced about all moving parts and throated and crowned the 6" barrel I had on it. My 10" barrel and one of my 8" barrels are already crowned. I have a spare 10" and about 3 spare 8" tubes that aren't crowned. It was getting a little loose, but now it locks up like a vault and everything works so smoothly. It was too hot and windy to check accuracy, but I did hit the gong at 200yds 2 out of 6 shots with the 6" barrel.

The total was $377, which included blueing, which was $200 more than I paid for the gun originally. The blueing was more than our website guy charges, but after the cost and time to remail it, I decided to get it all done in one place. Crowning is cutting a slight indention in the end of the barrel that leaves a sharp 90 degree exit for the bullet and protects that area from damage by being below the end of the barrel. The throating involves cutting the throat angle for optimal use with cast bullets for me, as that's what I shoot most.
