Hey all,
While looking into the whole purple bluing phenomenon, I've come across a bunch of explanations that all center around a batch explanation, be it chemistry, temp, etc. So my question is whether there's a known serial # or mfg year range for the affected batches. Also, if a frame were to turn, would it likely have done so by now? Or is it a process that occurs with use/heat exposure?
Thanks!

I don't think year/model has any bearing on the condition. I have a few Monson guns with it in various degrees and I have a new in box unfired Norwich gun that has it also. It has more to do with chemistry than anything else, IMHO.
