Does anyone have any ideas for me?
I have a 4" barrel on a model 15 that had not been removed or adjusted for many years. I got a barrel wrench, and managed to get it working on unscrewing the barrel, although it took an inordinate amount of effort (vise grip) to get it unscrewed. Well, it is completely unscrewed, but still won't come off. There are no threads still engaged - I can wiggle the barrel a lot on the frame. Also, I am not able to re-thread it now. I don't mind replacing the barrel if necessary, but am at a loss on how to separate it from the frame.

If there are truly no threads left, it has to come out... I assume by the vise-grip comment you have the shroud off. Once the last thread is out, there is only 1/8" of barrel left on the end--give it a pull straight out. Pics would be a plus for us if you can't get it out.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I did get the shroud off. It is so loose, there definitely are no threads still engaged. I have pulled as hard as possible, without putting it in a vise or anything, and have also soaked it with silicone lube and also some spray carb cleaner. But no luck. The only thing I can think of is that the end of the barrel got belled out somehow and is holding it in like a flange.
Since I live in Falcon, do you know of a good gunsmith who could check it out?
