I went to the CZ site today to look at barrels only to find out that the price I paid around 2 months ago for the 4" barrel on my .44 has basically doubled in cost. I called CZ's customer service number to ask why. I was told that the price went up because they have stopped making any barrels whatsoever, and that they will not be making any more in the future.
Get them while you can guys, but be prepared to pay dearly! Someone else can always call CZ and verify my claim if you doubt the news. Post your own discoveries and thoughts here in this thread.

We knew that they had increased their prices, but this is the first I've heard that they're stopping manufacture of barrels. I guess it was only a matter of time.
I need to order some other parts anyway, I'll ask about barrels & see if I get the same reply.

Ack! That is bad news...
I can feel good about that $15 6" SS .22 barrel I picked up...

When I requested the new price list from Genny about a month ago I ask if they were planning to stop producing revolver parts and she informed me they were not.
This is not cool at all. I have email both Genny and Keith for their response to this question.

I need a 4" 44 barrel at the very least! I was hoping to get a set of barrels and shrouds for my brushed blue SuperMag as well...
This is really going to be a bummer if this turns out to be true (Slick I'm not doubting you just hoping you spoke with someone that had incorrect information).

I'm not doubting Slick, but to raise prices so dramatically, then stop making the product doesn't make sense. On the other hand, great big CZ hasn't handled the DW revolver concept sensibly, from our standpoint, either.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Well, my wife ordered a Model 15 HV4" barrel assembly along with several sights for me about 2 and a half weeks ago. They were still taking orders at that time. I still have not received the order yet. Wonder which will be the last one made and who gets it if this is true! I'm hoping that there has been some miscommunication here somewhere as I am sure we all are.

Yep! Hooray!!
I talked to Priscilla a few minutes ago and placed an order for a BA741VH4. It still takes about 3 weeks, because they are custom made, and still costs a fortune, but they are still being made and will be for the forseeable future.
Fabulous! I was really worried that it was true since they completely overhauled their web site and it's now impossible (it used to be difficult) to find contact info for DW parts and service.

Great new news...now I can go back to stonewalling spending any money.
Actually I think I'll get an order off for spare parts and a barrel in the near future and continue to get beat up & out on GB trying to get the era shrouds I'd like to have.

I'm sure that now we are not so upset by the increase in pricing. Better that than not available, and a bunch of us panicked and bought something today. 
Ah, relativity; it can work such wonders in marketing. Remember; "if it lasts more than 4 hours..." 
Truly a masterpiece!
