Steve, Probably correct. I just hated it for the crew at DW that they had to answer all the emails and calls and waste time out of production to do it. Probably delayed someones barrel a day just answering questions

CF -- Exactly. Roll-Marking should return to their list of offerings. I think I would actually pay extra to get a new barrel that is roll-marked. Wow, did I just say that. I'm really sick.
BTW -- do you know if they will engrave the SuperMag logo on the side of the barrel to look (somewhat) like the roll-marked ones?
If no one has asked Keith this, I guess I will when I get to the point of adding the extra SM barrels I need.

I'm pretty sure that one's been asked & the answer was something to the effect of umm...nope!
Honestly, in this day & age of super cool CNC machines-n-stuff, you'd think that this wouldn't be a tough demand to fill. But I assume that it requires too much of a cash layout on their part to justify persuing the idea.

Sorry, folks but it appears that I was misinformed by somebody at CZ, USA when I called them. I'm not normally the kind to do a 'Chicken Little' act, but it still scared me because I'm trying to save up for an 8" barrel and the price almost doubled on them so I just had to find out why. CZ (not Dan Wesson/CZ) is a local call for me, so I called the parent company and apparently got ahold of somebody without a clue about what was actually going on.
Glad to hear that they're still making parts for our beloved pistols, now I just need to find me another one (oh, the dreaded disease takes hold)! Still sucks about the price increase for those of us on a budget trying to feed the wheel gun from time to time with over the counter fodder. Didn't mean to panic anyone, but I just wanted the board to know of any new developments right off, so I kind of went off half-cocked (gun pun intended)!

The misinformation you got at CZ (now I see the KS in your screen name, and it makes sense) is probably just a small sample of what our friends Keith, Genny, Priscilla, et al, need to put up with from the giant CZ to help keep the DW marque alive. We owe them our thanks, it can't be easy sometimes
