I purchased a few DW items from a member of another forum. Among them was a barrel wrench. It looks quite similar to a small brass door knob. The outer edge is serrated for a good grip and it has the DW logo in the center. It was in the original box along with a soft glove to store the revolver in and the hard foam for a 10" large frame. There was a cable style gun lock, a fired casing in a small manilla envelope (dated) and a DW decal. These items were inside the original DW shipping box for a Model 44V10 with the pertinent info for that revolver on a label form the Norwich, NY plant. I just wanted this neat looking barrel wrench. Can anyone tell me more about it? I haven't seen one before.

Its the wrench to remove the barrel nut and is usually referred to a a "door knob" wrench. I have a Norwich gun that came with one also. They work much better than the plastic ones that came with many guns. I usually use an EWK wrench for maint. work and keep the door knob for appearance use.

They replaced the cheap plastic wrenches with the door knob (thankfully). Maybe the previous owner ordered a new barrel assembly, I got one for a 15-2 that way a few years ago, came with a DW BA from Norwich.
