I have been reading threads- here and other forums, about DW Model 15. Is there a difference in a 15 and 15-2? I have a Model 14 (porker) and I am wanting a VH in 4 and 6", so I am guessing that I need to find a Model 15-2 with a VH barrel and start adding to it. I don't believe I really want a Pistol Pack; I know it would be cool; but I just want a DW with a cool-looking longer barrel. I like the look of the Pythons but I am not crazy about the high sticker price. The DWs have a similar look and sound reputation, so I am going to shop for the 15.
I see that what looks like a 15 is listed as CTG on some auction sites. Are they a different gun?
Since your here... know of a 15 for sale?

.357 "CTG" just stands for cartridge . a model 14 I believe is a service pistol with fixed barrel and sights a model 15 is a target pistol and the shroud fits differently and are not interchangeable the 15-2 has a small nipple that fits into the shroud for correctly aligning the assmbly and are interchangeable.
Experts feel free to correct me if im wrong and i also believe the model 15 is a porkchop shroud as well. hope this helps

Gh0zt36, has it mostly right!
14 is a service non adjustable sights, you can find barrels for these though in 2" 4" 6" all pork chop style.
15 is the same though with adjustable sights (rear).
the BA's differ in front sight height.
14-2 non adjust sight (pinned shroud not pork chop)
15-2 adjustable (same as above) on this one you can find BA's 2.5" to 15" these will not fit the pork chop.
you can interchange shrouds on the 14's and 15's (pork) though the poa will be off.
shrouds on 15-2's will fit 14-2's though a replacement or corrected height front sight will need to be purchased.
Find the later 14-2 or 15-2 for all your barrel and shroud configurations!
