A member here named hotbluer used to do bluing for DW. Try contacting him through PM.And keep us posted, including before and after pics.

This supplier, Blue Ridge Bluing appears to be out of business.
I have never done business with Fords, but they have an excellent reputation
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

As Steve said, my recommendation is Hotbluer=no. I also think Fords have an excellent reputation although I have never seen their work. If you only want to reblue the sideplate and not the whole revolver you could contact Eric at EWK Arms, he might be willing to do the sideplate. I believe he does not have an FFL to receive a frame or whole gun. If he agrees to do the sideplate, I will say his bluing is very nice on the parts I have received from him. You could also email the factory at Norwich and see if they would do it. I think they sub out the actual bluing. Not sure.
If you get it done anywhere, post up some pics after. The subject of getting things reblued comes around occasionally and it would be nice to see how you make out.

The vast majority of small frame Dans have scratches on the sideplate from the extractor star . The cylinder tends to close while the extractor is extended unless you push on it with your fingers through the frame and tilt the gun to the left while extracting cases. I am sure many of us would be interested to know if Eric would polish and reblue them or us. .Please let us know what he says. Many otherwise perfect guns have those scratches.

Hello All, I received a reply from E.W. Kovachic at EWK on re-bluing a 15-2 side plate. Here it is: Sorry for the delay in getting back! You'd be looking at $38 including return shipping cost. Thing is, its not going to match your frame exactly-it will be close, but not perfect-all the parts have to be done at once for that, and unfortunately I don't have a FFL to do the frame. If you've seen some pictures on the DWF of my barrel assemblies, it should give you an idea. Let me know if you decide you want to proceed, and thanks for checking!

William: At $38 all in, I would say DO IT!
Odds are it will match pretty well unless examined very closely, and you can trust him to give you his best work. You might find that you need to polish up the rest of your gun to match what you get back from him.
Lot's of 15-2's out there that don't EXACTLY match up part to part
