I'm new here so if I'm posting in the wrong place, let me know.
I have a DW .44 that spent 14 months in a police evidence locker. It was immaculate going in and disgraceful when I got it out. Surface rust in several places. Operationally it is top notch, as with all DWs. But the finish breaks my heart. I saw that Blue Ridge Bluing has posted on this forum. I'm considering sending it to him and wondering if anyone here has first hand experience with him. Certainly seems qualified but at the end of the day, he's electronic blips on a monitor or a voice on the phone. Members with first hand experience would give me a measure of comfort before I send off my pride and joy.
I appreciate any input.

I have no personal experience, but Members here that I trust speak very highly of his work. If I needed bluing I would not send it anyplace else.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
