Bought this used looks in excellent shape made in monson .357 model 15-2vh came with 8"vented heavy barrel and 6" barrel .I paid $425.

I think you did pretty well, interesting that there are two of the older style barrel wrenches with it. Based on the wrenches and the fact that I can't see a frame mounted overtravel screw (I think it's in the back of the trigger?) it looks like an earlier 15-2. Recessed chambers too?
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Your 15-2 is a 1978 gun. The overtravel screw in the trigger will be a very small allen screw angling upward and forward in the very top and back of the trigger. The frame mounted one will be in the frame behind the trigger angling upward and back. The function of the overtravel screw is to stop travel rearward of the trigger right after the round fires.
