I'm bumping this old thread with a possible update of good news. I came across this thread recently on another forum...

"I spoke to Dan Wesson at the NRA Convention and was told
they are going to start making revolvers again next year. They will
initially be made in 357 as that is their most requested caliber and
will see after that. Hope it comes to be."
Hmmm...could it be? Maybe DW/CZ really IS listening after all??

My method for educating the folks to DW.
I get together with some friends that live in various states. When we do get together there is always the question of what to do, so I invariably offer up going to the shooting range. Last time was in Houston TX. A really good guy, belly's up with his .357Sig.. The guy is 6'5" and about 300 ( a charter member of the FGA -Fat guys association).
Well he is shooting all wrong, and generally getting very anxious with shooting. He is literally scared of his own gun, that throws cases at him. So, I let him try my DW .357, but shooting my favorite target loads (.38 158gr wad-cutter with Bullseye @ ~800fps). Once he is calm, and not "yanking on the trigger", he is amazed. He immediately whats to know where he can buy one.... simple... hit every gun show, and if your lucky in a few years.. you will find one.
I do not consider my self a really good shot (anymore, eyesight is going). But, I haven't meet an average shooter that doesn't shoot "better" with my DW, than they shoot with their own semi-auto, and I out shoot them regardless.
Exception: my 18yo daughter, loves to brag on how she out shot her dad on the knock down plates .. one time.
I want a re-match!
Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box
in that order.
4 Monson Model 15's
1 Palmer FB 15
1 Rossi 357 Model 92 (lever)
1 CZ 75B

My son now shoots better than I do, a combination of my aging eyes and his training (I knew it was all over after he trained at Xe/Blackwater). They shot A LOT there.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Charger Fan - there is another thread on this subject as well - "New DW Revolver In the Works".
Back in the beginning of 2010 I contacted CZ USA to discuss several topics regarding the revolver line. The information provided to me at that time was that there is a plan in place to reintroduce the revolver back into the market sometime next year (2011). The initial plans for an interchangeable-revolver are for a model in .357 cal. (refer to my post of 02/25 on the other thread). If everything goes as scheduled, the .357 revolver will be back again next year.

I had forgotten where this news was first posted. You got the first jump on the good news, for sure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that production plans are still in motion & that we'll al have a new revolver next year! Here's the link to your thread, for everyone's future reference...

Charger Fan – Please don’t misinterpret my post to be a “who heard it first” type of thing - I apologize if that was the way I came across. I just wanted to follow up to your info. and support that I had received the exact same info. as well. We can be assured that it is not hearsay or rumor, and while there has not been any formal press release to date, the info. is coming directly from the management of CZ. So, hopefully the plans will stay in motion and the enthusiasm generated by a new .357 will carry over to other caliber offerings as well! Let’s cross our fingers and hope that we will eventually see a full product line in all the popular calibers!! Thank you for reviving the topic and keeping up the excitement for the new revolver!
