Now that I own a 15-2 V6 I thought it would be great to have a 4" barrel too. Barrel and shroud combos seem to be priced around $300. Seems to me for a couple hundred more you could eventually find a nice 15-2 w/4" barrel and have two guns. I've no need for a 2" or anything longer than 6" so no need for pistol pack. Here we go again...

The 4" BA's are the most desirable and therefore carry a premium ... a nice V4 or VH4 will be more like $450 and a decent revolver around $700.
with your ... I have not found a cure yet.

Are you a collector or a shooter? And are you looking for a vent heavy assembly? I ask because you can buy a brand new VH4 from DW for $257 plus tax and shipping so yeah basically $300 lol. BUT if you wait for their online sales, you can save a few dollars. You just missed their 4th of july sale where everything was 20% off. I bought a 8" stainless 357 assembly and got $75 off.

They might be having a labor dale sale so keep your eyes on the website and sign up for their email newsletters.
If you're not interested in a newer assembly, there's a 4" assembly on ebay, currently at $99

All my handguns are shooters. I guess I'm a shooter collector lol. I just got the 15-2 a few days ago and was just considering options for the future. I was struck by how reasonable a lot of DW revolvers are and how expensive barrel assemblies are. Right now my 15-2 is a beautiful paperweight until I can reset the B/C gap since the cylinder is touching the barrel now. I'm waiting for a barrel wrench to arrive and crossing my fingers the nut will come off easily. While I'm waiting I'm trying to learn all I can about the DWs. I already have two 4" 357 revolvers, a 5" and now a 6". I bought the 15-2 for the range, it's different than any revolver I own and the quality. Plus it's so purdy.
