I'm planning on buying a 15-2 V6 tomorrow. When I inspected it it had a few issues I need to fix. The cylinder locks up tight and the forcing cone looks about perfect. The B/C gap was no more than .002, maybe less, and I could see slight rotational rub marks on the face of the cylinder. SA was fine, DA was hanging up/not smooth and required much more pressure toward the end of travel. The trigger failed to return a few times but the seller replaced the return spring with a Wolff competition spring that may be too light. I will try removing the grip screw to see if it helps trigger and back the over travel screw (on the back of trigger)off a tad to see if it helps. Seller had no barrel tool but one is ordered. I know the DW gauge is .006. Is that where you'd recommend starting or maybe .005? I don't know how long it's been since the barrel nut and barrel have been off and hope it won't be a pain because the gap definitely needs to open up some.(the face of the cylinder is pretty clean) Any recommendations for removing nut/barrel if it's difficult. Oil and a little heat, I'd assume. It really is a beautiful revolver and I really like the balance of that barrel configuration. The blue(no Barney effect) looks so perfect I almost suspect it was reblued. If it was they did a great job. I post a better photo when I get the gun home.IMG_0184.JPGImage Enlarger

Correct, the factory gauge is .006", but many tighten spacing up to .002" on the proudest chamber. Also, check that your grip screw has a washer on it .. if not, the screw can travel too far.

I picked the 15-2 up yesterday and the finish is deeper, darker and more glossy than any revolvers I've handled. I'm waiting for the barrel tool to reset gap and hopefully correct the DA trigger issue. I need to adjust the trigger over travel screw also. I don't have an allen wrench small enough. What size should I look for?IMG_0190_LI-1.jpgImage Enlarger

The allen wrench size needed is .050   A 3/64 might work (.046)
