I have a dan wesson revolver I bought it from a coworker in the mid 1980s
It is blued w/adjustable rear sights and says .357 magnum ctg
serial is 127768
Can anyone tell me the model and perhaps year of this gun, everyone I let shoot it loves this gun which is the reason I still have and will never sell it. Just joined this forum and will probably looking to add to my dan wesson collection.

Welcome to the forum, sounds like you have a model 15-2. You can check out the serial # chart under Archive in the header on this page to get an approximate build date of your revolver.
Model 15-2 is a great gun to own and shoot, I will warn you if you hang out here much it can be the basis for a collecting affliction

Thanks very much for the help, this gun is the only revolver I own and still is one of my favorites to shoot I will try to figure out serial number section but you have confirmed the model id for me and thanks again.
