Bought this gun on Gunbroker last week or so, after getting some .445 ammo at the gun show. The revolver arrived at my shop yesterday and I went in to sign some forms (it won't get to come home for a week or two thanks to the sheep of WA). Here's a quick pick from the shop:
It has the 8" barrel and a 6" with what was described as a modified shroud: "the 6" was modified by the factory by removing the lower portion of the "heavy" barrel extension." In the original box (with sleeve) are a manual, barrel wrench, extra barrel nut (3 total) and a bag with sight blades and small allen wrench. The SN is 445S000750 (a pretty cool serial number, I think).
It was sold with a pair of DW smooth target stocks, a nylon chest holster, two boxes of .44 Mag ammo, two boxes of .445 brass and 9 rounds of .445 ammo. These items were shipped to my house separately but have not yet arrived.
Pretty excited to have this joining the family! I have already shown my blued .357 Pistol Pack and .357 Max, and the stainless .44 Mag that started this for me earlier in the summer.

Great score. I saw that but I have several and don't hunt moose or brown bear. The 6" shroud is not custom. It is one of the standard options, a Vented but not Heavy shroud. Gun and Pawn shops get a lot of information wrong. They make up stuff to enhance the description. Even worse are most gunsmith. Don't let them near a Dan unless you consult the Forum folks first.

The box of extras arrived at my home on Thursday.
The smooth DW target stocks look good and don't have any apparent wear. They look like walnut and even show a little bit of wood grain.
There are two 50 round boxes of apparently factory American Eagle 240 gr JHP .44 Mag ammo (the cases do not look reloaded and the ammo is all very uniform).
There are two plastic boxes of .445 Super Mag new brass labeled "Bullseye Shooting Supplies, Inc." that appear to be virgin Starline Brass. Now I have 200 SM new cases.
And the 9 loaded rounds of ammo are pretty tarnished and look like they have been in cartridge loops for a while. These will be pulled down for components.
Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase and can't wait to bring it home and shoot it. The auction sales price was $1800. Sales tax, shipping and the transfer fee brought it up to $2,104.80. That's a lot for a single "old revolver", but I think is fair in the current market (I'd love to know others' opinions, good or bad).

I haven't kept notes on the 7445s for the last few years, but they continue to be at the higher end of the spectrum for production DWs. $16-1700 was not uncommon for a VG specimen in the box. Your extra barrel and other items bring your $2100 OTD price to more like $1600. So, you essentially knocked 2 years of rising gun prices and inflation off the total. I'd say you are right-side up on that purchase. (I assume the nylon rig they mentioned is an Uncle Mikes?)
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
