What do you need to change calibers from a DW 15-2 357 Mag to a 22LR? I assume you need a 22 barrel and cylinder. Will the Shroud on the 357 bbl. fit on the 22 bbl? How does the firing pin hit the rim of the 22 if it is set to hit the primer on the 357 cartridge? Please help as I would like to have a 22 along with the 357 and use the same frame. The rim-fire is the deal breaker. Now the center-fire cartridges could be swapped with a custom barrel and cylinder. DW made all calibers with different threads on the frame end to prevent an accidental mismatch. Although all small frame shrouds will interchange as will all large frame shrouds. Super-mag shrouds will work on a large frame but large frame shrouds will not work on a SM due to the ejector rod length. You can convert a 22LR to a 22Mag though.
